The taste of intelligence and excellence goes hand in hand with requisite to face a new age challenges no matter the priority is for a Job Interview or at a work place rapport development.

NLP in Academics: An initiative towards excellence!

The academic interests relate to learning with a pace and lead structure of knowledge to deliver with pride for the majority we face in our common get together notions and interactions. The theory of excellence as perceived by the two great personalities, Richard Brandler and John Grinder. The theory of communication excellence which we better rotate it as hails the curiosity to pace the nerve communication network in the human body, defined as NEURO, the language we use to speak to our self or others, the LINGUISTIC and above all the operating instructions that create an outcome executes PROGRAMMING.  There is an integration of the five senses, particularly VAKOG, depicting, Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, Olfactory and Gustatory. This is a model way to achieve excellence in what ever we do and be a part of as a spectrum towards breeding interest of the people around and the productivity at gain.

In academics, no doubt as a novice implementation, the NLP methodology integrates with discovering the art of knowing the students with their level of acceptance and learning in totality. “The art and science of how people communicate and influence and the effect that has on the other person” is the ultimate initiative to explore. In a classroom, the interaction with the students rotates to the limitation of time wishes and the assignments due to the lack of rapport. This too is because of the mandatory requirements for the classroom to progress for the time it needs a dedication and the requirements which get to include the establishing rapport with an individual student which will enable the teacher to help him better and create a win win situation for everyone in the class. The NLP cult within classrooms rotates to mount a feeling of ownership among all with WE spectrum rather than the I narration. Some the traits of NLP which explore excellence features the being positive attitude, and this is possible through engaging the NLP tools as one of the Innovative Teaching Techniques.

We should dwell on the reality, “If a child can’t learn the way we teach, may be we should teach the way they learn”. The teachers call their students “their kids” because they take great pride in everything they accomplish while in their class. They watch them learn, conquer challenges, explore and become better human under their watch. Hence, adapting NLP techniques and supporting beliefs allows educators to cater to student learning needs within a flexible and changing environment. Mirroring in Classrooms encapsulates the students’ body language to create rapport with the teacher and vice-versa. Modeling with the children germinates the process of how some one does something, a similar process is followed by the other to benchmark quality in practice. Both Modeling and Mirroring are the important techniques to set the process of learning where excellence is manipulated as a choice of governance and explanation to the best of participation by the majority within a classroom.

The priority counts with the inception of making the learning happen with pride and honour to the students of choice for the children today like to like the subject only when they like the teacher. For a reason, students today may develop a dislike for a subject of a life time just because of some ill treatment or an incident which may appear to be uncomfortable for the students. This generates the requirement of a wow element today in the classrooms where children dash on their learning habits injected via NLP tools of excellence to make learning happen as a delight first time every time. As teachers too, we need to abide by the presuppositions of the NLP which act like the convenient assumptions. It is a prerequisite of desire to respect for the other person’s model of the world, the behaviour and change are to be evaluated in terms of context and ecology. The resistance in a student is a real sign of lack of rapport and must be worked upon by the teachers for we can not and just not teach the way we were taught. As a teacher one has to calibrate on behaviour as the most important information about a person is that person’s behaviour.

NLP in classrooms

In addition, the calibration of ideas among children is yet another wisdom to be practised within classrooms to implement traits to gain excellence. In a nut shell the success through NLP in classrooms pertain to get to go on the following:

  1. Increasing the level of confidence.
  2. Improving the influential skills.
  3. Creating rapport with others.
  4. Be more effective in communication.
  5. Understand the use of body language.
  6. Handle conflict situations.
  7. Dispel anxiety.
  8. Trusting the intuition.

NLP now offers its human excellence model via the integration of ideas and monitoring within classrooms among peers and with an array of teachers and facilitators. The applicable NLP techniques in academics have had its spectrum over in totality as a part of Human Resource in general. Pacing this innovation for implementation within academics at all levels is the need of the hour.
